Dog Walking and Pet Services Agreement
Client Authorisation & Terms 2025
Definitions
In these terms and conditions, the following words have the meaning set out below:
“client” or “I” means the individual contracting dog walking services from Wilson’s Walkies.
“Wilson’s Walkies” means the service provider responsible for walking the dog(s).
1. I agree to provide keys/arrange for keys to be available for Wilson’s Walkies to enter my property for dog walking/visiting purposes.
2. I authorise Wilson’s Walkies to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the time spent with my pet. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care. I agree to pay for any charges incurred from veterinary care for my pet. I also authorize Wilson’s Walkies to use an alternative veterinarian in the event my regular veterinarian is unavailable.
3. I agree to compensate Wilson’s Walkies for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies. In the event that Wilson’s Walkies attends my property but cannot gain access (for example because a key has not been provided), I understand that payment is still due to Wilson’s Walkies for the scheduled walk or visit.
4. I understand that I will be responsible for any medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the dog walker or other persons by the pet. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wilson’s Walkies in the event of a claim by any person injured by the pet. I accept full liability for any loss or damage caused by my dog whilst being walked.
5. I agree to notify Wilson’s Walkies of any concerns/complaints within 24 hours of any appointments.
6. I understand that I must state if my pet shows aggression in any way. I understand I must fully disclose any quality or characteristic problems which might make my dog unsuitable for walks. Wilson’s Walkies will not care for pets that endanger their safety or that of others.
7. Wilson’s Walkies agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, kind, and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services, and as an express condition thereof, the client specifically waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Wilson’s Walkies, its employees, or assignments, except those occurring from clear negligence of the dog walker.
8. Wilson’s Walkies accepts no responsibility for security of the premises or loss if other individuals have access to the home during the term of this agreement. During all assignments, dog walking will only be carried out by Wilson’s Walkies owner or employees, unless prearranged with the client. Wilson’s Walkies accepts no responsibility for damages to the property if other people have access to the property.
9. Wilson’s Walkies will not let any dog off his/her lead unless the owner has given written consent.
10. If unforeseen circumstances occur where Wilson’s Walkies cannot attend to your dog needs due to illness etc, you will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
11. Wilson’s Walkies is not responsible for any damage sustained by a pet escaping because of a faulty lead/collar or a collar that is not properly fitted.
12. Wilson’s Walkies will not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet.
13. It is clearly understood that Wilson’s Walkies shall not be held responsible for any damage to the client’s property, or that of others, caused by the client’s pets during the period in which they are in its care. The client has advised Wilson’s Walkies of all relevant situations which could result in loss or damage.
14. This agreement is valid for all future walks until a new agreement is signed. Wilson’s Walkies reserve the right to terminate this agreement at any time, at its sole discretion. The client may terminate this agreement at any time with one month’s notice.
15. After a walk Wilson’s Walkies will towel-dry your dog (if required) and return them safely home.
16. Wilson’s Walkies agree to love and care for your pet to the best of their abilities while you are away or at work.
17. Cancellation Policy
Permanent slots
If permanent days are booked each week continuously, you will be paying for the permanent slot whether it is used or not. Any cancellations will be at your discretion and will still be chargeable. A maximum of 12 working days can be cancelled for a holiday, anything over 12 days will be charged at a half rate to keep your slot.
Non-Permanent slots
Infrequent walks require a minimum notice of 48 hours for cancellation, less than this will still be chargeable.
18. Payment
Invoices will be sent out at the end of each month. Invoices shall be paid in full by the client within 3 days. This can be done by bank transfer only.
Late payment may result in interest at a rate of 8% per month, at Wilson Walkies’ discretion.
19. Leads
Wilson’s Walkies provides their own leads unless owner requests otherwise. If your dog pulls excessively, please provide a lead to cater for this or discuss with your dog walker.

21. Weather
Heat
When the weather is extremely hot and it’s evident that the dogs are struggling in the heat; hour walks will be shortened accordingly. The visit will still be 1 hour in duration but walks may be shortened to enable Wilson’s Walkies to cool the dogs down and make sure they are comfortable before leaving.
Rain and wind
Walks will be normal unless winds are considered dangerous, in this case, the Client will be informed that walks may have to be shortened in order for Wilson’s Walkies to reach all dogs booked in for walks due to traffic disruption etc.
Freezing, ice, and snow
If the weather is below freezing and paths are icy walks may be cancelled due to safety issues.
22. Dog Walker holidays/days off (NOT INCLUDING UNEXPECTED ILLNESS)
One months’ notice will be given (where possible) for any holidays/days off where the dog walker will be absent from walks.
23. Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
24. In booking services or in signing this agreement, the Client agrees to these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions represent the only agreement between the Client and Wilson’s Walkies and may only be amended with written agreement.
